Comments Thread For: Joshua Will Look To Get Exception From WBO To Face Fury in 2021

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, says his boxer will certainly look for an exception to fight WBC champion Tyson Fury in 2021. Joshua is scheduled to face the IBF's mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev on December 12.

Who cares about Usyk? The whole boxing world wants to see AJ vs Fury. Hope the WBO grants AJ an exception so that we have a complete unification.Usyk hasn’t reached anything in the heavyweight division yet.

Hearn is pretty smart in using the fact that AJ has paid all these sanctioning fee's only to have to lose the belt to someone who wants a shot when 99% of the boxing world wants a different match up.

This may also be a ploy to push for no more belts and to have 1 singular champion.

Excessive "talking" about the big fight, while locked into another fight is never a good sign.

Will be a repeat of Wilder negotiations by Eddie and AJ.

Don't need the fake WBO to be undisputed, just the other 3. Leave that garbage belt for Ustiff

Hearn only big on honoring mandatories when it’s stumble bums like Whyte for a rival promoters fighter. Here is Usyk who will be bypassed cuz he’s in the stable.

                    1) Usyk would get a free shot at the belt in a two fight deal they can't defend it the idea is they drop it the day after.
                    2) You want AJ to not fight Fury ??? Usyk hasn't been waiting years for Joshua he can wait particularly if he gets the belt anyway. The whole Whyte situation was caused by Wilder only fighting Haymon / King fighters in the States with home advantage.
