Comments Thread For: Roach Expects Mike Tyson To Go For Kill Early, Knock Roy Jones Out

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, who briefly worked with Mike Tyson, expects the retired boxer to go for the kill when he faces former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. on November 28. Tyson, a former undisputed heavyweight champion, has been out of the ring since 2005 - when he was knocked out by journeyman Kevin McBride.

Roach must be really losing his mind, telling Tyson things like that. The bout is emphasized to be an EXHIBITION, between two old well used up veterans, to help charities, and to show the new generation some fo the moves that made them great fighters.

In other words, I expect them to pull their punches whilst showing how they deliver them.

No real boxing fan wants to see either man get hurt. And although the Commission says that if they see such stuff they'll stop bout. But when they see it, it will already have taken place, so the REAL onus is on the boxers themselves to make it an EXHIBITION.

You would be doing me a big favour if you ignored me completely, as I desire to ignore you. My excellent knowledge of boxing has been well proven over the 16 years I've been on this site, and doesn't need any "help" from you. If you think you are annoying me and getting a "kick" out of it, it is purely one-sided. Because you're not; to me you're just a bad smell.

You should learn to control your infantile "outbursts" without needing nappies.

Sorry but you are wrong on this . No one believes Mike will pull anything not even Jones if you kept up with the interviews ,it’s a complete mismatch and only those with money to splurge will buy this . I might just because head gear is not going to be used .

My guess is you haven’t actually followed this ,Mike will try and stop RJJ and go for a real title if he is intent on his words and the WBC has his back and will rank him .

I suppose you've never heard of how to "boost up" a fight....The more ferocity that's projected, the more the bloodthirsty human animal will want to see it -and pay for it...Which will benefit the charities ....

I recall a time when Tyson said that "I'm going to eat your children"...That time he forgot to bring the salt and pepper. He brought the "frying pan" and jumped out of it into ....guess where..... !!

Just my opinion. I think Roach is a fool, always have. No matter how much money he's made, his public utterances are almost always wrong, and often silly. It was his foolish tongue which caused a rift between Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum, who had done so much for him, going further than any promoter had ever gone for a fighter. He used to even go to the Philippines to make political speeches on his behalf.

Freddie trying to sell the fight as usual. He's solid at that job. Mfers always seem to forget he predicts a KO every mfing fight.

I still think this is gonna be more friendly & a mutual agreement to not go 100% on each other type fight. I think neither guy wants to look like a **** hole nor wanna make the other guy look THAT bad either. They just trying to make some cash doing what they always did best one more time.

Roach is losing his marbles. It wasn’t a left hook to the body that KO’d Hill. It was a right hand
