Too easy for Matias. So casual...
He was definitely in the mood.
Walking down Hawkins with both hands down. Head darting sideways.
Complete disregard for Hawkins' power.
Broke down Hawkins' body good...
Entertaining to watch, but he won't be able to do that with tougher opponents. Matias needs to tighten up his defense and eat less punches if he wants to have a longer career.
After 3rd Round, Hawkins didn't want to be there...
Matias looked like he got over his Petros Ananyan loss.Last edited by Timur78; 10-24-2020, 09:52 PM.Comment

Great win for Subriel Matias in his first fight back after his controversial loss. That loss cost him his undefeated record, and a drop in the rankings. Now the same fate has befallen Malik Hawkins, and he has to deal with his adversity. I would like to see that rematch made against his conqueror Petros Ananyan. I believe that this time Subriel wont let the fight go the distance. He'll bring his own two judges with him, his overhand right, and his left hook. I think he'll be the first fighter to knock Petros out, ending any, and all controversies as to whom is the better fighter. Subriel can become champion at 140, but he has to work on his defense.Comment

I really expected so much more from Malik Hawkins. Especially, after reading what he was quoted saying on ******. Here's Malik's quote: “We definitely looked at Matias’ last fight,” said Hawkins, who is promoted by Mayweather Promotions and trained by Calvin Ford. “Everyone looked at his record before that fight, but what we saw is that if you actually fight him back, he’s more of a B or C-class fighter. I think that’s the type of fighter he is."
Well, if Subriel Matias is B or C class fighter, what does tonight's performance say for Malik Hawkins? Subiel Matias took his heart. Hawkins definitely underestimated Matias and over estimated his own abilities.Comment

I like Matias since he has that high KO record but he has to work on his defense. He can’t fight a fighter that is a strong counter puncher, I wish he trained with Salas the Cuban trainer. He would show him some defense
Can’t believe the odds hahaComment

The win came through sheer force, landing 137-of-506 punches for a 27% connect rate according to Compubox, compared to 994-of-353 (27%) for Hawkins.Comment
