It was always a win-win situation for Top Rank

I’m just curious why more guys don’t sign with Golden Boy, Mayweather Promotion, Eddie Hearn versus Top Rank. Oscar has a PPV Star in Canelo even though they did the DAZN contract deal. Mayweather Promotions now has a PPV Fighter in Tank. Hearn has had quite a few PPV’s already with Anthony Joshua.

Top Rank has (4) fighters (Fury, Crawford, Lomo, Lopez) now in the top P4P list but I don’t see them making a whole lot of money and securing endorsements and other opportunities outside of boxing. They don’t seem to make a lot of money by the time it is allocated to everyone, network, managers, trainers, promotors, etc. I just don’t see the overall financial benefit for Lomo, Crawford, Lopez, & Fury, and other belt holders in their stable. Seems like they are all leaving a lot on the table being with Top Rank & Arum. And Shakur probably has to live through it to experience it for himself.

Top rank has 10 total champion belt holders and 4 on the current P4P list. But only Tyson Fury has been in a PPV fight to date. By comparison, Golden Boy has 6 champion belt holders and 1 on the P4P list, and a bunch of PPV fights with Canelo. Mayweather Promotions has 1 champion belt holder Tank and he has his 1st PPV fight already on Showtime. Matchroom has 10 champion belt holders and 1 on the P4P list (Usyk). And Joshua has had quite a few PPV fights.

probably because the ppv market is a dying breed. Just because you put someone on PPV doesn't make them a star and as of now, the only ppv star in boxing is Canelo, and even he isn't on the same status of ppv stars of the previous eras. Not to mention, he's clearly sick of Oscar and wants out of golden boy which isn't a good look for them. Top rank has the best track history of any current promotor, they have the best match makers and a good roster of young talent.

Crawford's take home for his last 4 fights has been 3 mill, 3.6 mill, 5.5 mill, and most recently 4 mill. He makes a lot more than most welterweights or other fighters period.

I think of that too sometimes but then I remember that Oscar, Cotto, Floyd, Mikey Garcia all fought and left TR.
PAC also tried to but Bob the ***ish power broker threatened the guy and he stayed.

No disrespect but what fighters did that build because Oscar Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard were stars before they got with Bob and mayweather became one after he left. Miguel cotto was known in boxing but I wouldn’t say he was a star. teofimo is a on his way due to his own self promotion. Crawford is not a star neither is loma no matter how badly they tried to pretend he was one. Pac-Man definitely became one with top rank but aside from him which stars did they build. ??

I cant do the research for you, bro. As I said, #'s dont lie. Your opinion on some you mentioned is just that, your opinion.

The same for most of us. You can't know how good somebody is until they have the opportunity to show you (i.e by fighting somebody that good). Plus Lopez is young and had been maturing and improving as a fighter. Who knows what will happen in the rest of his career. Could go on to be an atg, could lose to the likes of Garcia, Davis, Haney etc.
