No, he handed over the first 7 rounds because Lopez kept a jab in his face disrupting his rhythm. Had Loma engaged early as he did in the 12th it’d have been lights out and he knew it.

To Teofimo Fangirl Club members: It is only news.

Nobody is using this as an excuse for anything.

Take an antidepressant and calm down.

I do think Loma did very well in rounds 8 thru 11, but I don't think anyone in their right mind would describe what happened as getting "beat up".

I'm Pretty sane and in my right mind and Will say that 12th round Loma got beat up!! Loma took it no Doubt but he was being moved by those Punches in the 12th. One Sane man's opinion!!

They know this, it's just hard for these folks to grasp reality!

I would have to say that Lopez won the first 6 rds not because he did so much, but because Loma did so little. Loma threw so few punches that Lopez being the counter puncher just had to throw a few here and there to keep Loma on the outside and that was enough to win the rds.

I don’t believe you fully understand strategy and “saving face” all that well. Loma MUST APPROVE any release of ANY medical information to the public. So OF COURSE he’d ask someone else to do it so it didn’t have the appearance that he was making an excuse. The person making the statement is coming directly from Loma’s lips so yes it’s a damned excuse.

When Loma finally started throwing more he was given too much credit just because he threw more than in earlier rds. When he started throwing, he did it in spots and was not continuous enough throughout the rds. I would say that is what I saw in rds 8 and 9. Actually Lopez was more active throughout the entire 8,9th rounds. He did do better, but the rds were still close because Lopez always answered back and more often.

                      Excuses

[SIZE="7"]Sounds like an excuse. Loma lost. Loma won rounds 8, 9, 10 & 11, he also won round 2 in my humble opinion. I even gave him round 2 for the benefit of the doubt. The fight was closer than what two judges scored it, but Lopez sealed the deal with round 12.
