He played hard to get and now DAZN can’t pay him is $36+ per fight because no one cares about Canelo fighting scrubs at 160/8.
Oh give me a damn break. Legacy will be tainted? Buddy, if Lomachenko's side wanted to force a rematch clause, they could have done exactly that.

Definitely not a fight I would mind. If they run it back? Great! But that is not a bigger money fight than fighting Garcia or Tank next year. It will all be a moot point if he moves to 140 as many are predicting him to do.

I know Lopez afterward stated that there was no rematch clause but there doesnt have to be, this is now the biggest money fight in the division. That should be LOma's goal, if no immediate rematch then he isn't willing to risk everything for greatness.

      What say you?
      Yes, that is quite alarming.

Notice how Lennox Lewis immediately after his loss to Rahman stated 'My belts are on loan'.

A Loma rematch will be the most lucrative fight he can make. A move to 140 will not be so lucrative, there is no money there unless he can get Mikey down to 140. Even then, Mikey’s stock has dropped some, so I’m not sure if there is enough meat on the bone for each fighter to get paid what they want.

How do you know there won't be a more lucrative fight? Will the Lomachenko rematch be on PPV or something?

The kid is having trouble making 135, that has been known for a while. The move to 140 is coming within a year. Facing the winner of Ramirez/Taylor would be a very good fight.

You might not want the rematch to happen. That could be what you mean.

Loma was/is great. He just lost a fight. Regardless of what happens from here out he'll still be great.

Either fight Shakur or rematch Lopez but this time Lopez will be getting what Loma was getting (3 million plus) and vice versa.

                  Exactly!

Not to mention AJ and Whyte in recent times. Loma looked well and truly beaten.

Lomachenko can prove his greatness at 130 fighting some more young studs like Stevenson or a proven champ in Berchelt.
Huh? I'm not saying he can make the rematch, I'm saying he should have called for it.

Using size as an excuse is nonsense. He fought at 132 lb as an amateur on multiple occasions and hasnt fought at super feather for 3 + years. You are all acting as if he just jumped weight to make this fight lol

Lomachenko COULD have put a rematch clause in the contract when this fight was made. His side did not want one since they probably thought this would be an easy win.
