In my opinion, the judges scorecards might have been weird, but not as weird as the fight. If Lomachenko performed as the same boxer we saw in the past, in my opinion, even Julie Lederman would not have been able to rob him of the win.

This fight reminded me a lot of Canelo vs Kovalev, which I also thought was fake.

I think maybe we were fools to think that any educated person would still take real punches to the head in 2020. It's just too dangerous for the brain. Just my opinion.

What's so upsetting about this all is that Loma was supposed to be the p4p #1. If your p4p you make a way and over come. If Canelo was in there and they were at the same weight, he would have had the defense and power to mute Lopez. Meanwhile, Loma was dead in the water and couldn't evade Lopez. What a shame...

Lomachenko's entire life mission was his boxing legacy. I don't think he'd willingly trade his shot at that for all the money in the world.

I just think that Loma early was doing a combination of not wanting to get hit with something big and playing it safe, coupled with hoping Lopez would fade and then turning it up whether Lopez faded or not. I don't that that worked out well for him other than the fact that he did avoid the big shot. Better to go the distance than to get dropped and stopped.

Loma's gameplan was ****** IMO, he wanted Lopez to get tired for the later rounds because he doesnt have experience of a 12 rounders. But Lopez is still fresh and can fight that long.

Plus Loma wasn't pressing him to get him tired. He was getting tired himself.

Weight advantage for Lopez didnt help Loma at all.
