If you were to manage Teofimo’s career?

First of all, I want to say that we have a new star. A young fighter that is willing to take risks. He not only has speed and power, but demonstrated to have skill and heart. I thought that Teo had Danny Garcia syndrome when it comes to his feet, but his footwork was good enough to hang in there with Loma. The kid proved he can switch it up.

If you were to manage Teofimo’s career what would you make him do next?

I think Teo was holding on for dear life to make 135 for the Loma fight, especially after getting the fight pushed from April to October. The kid is big at 140, so I think the next logical step is to just move up. After seeing this kid’s IQ last night, I think he can conquer the 140 division. At that weight, he will have better stamina and more punch output than he already has.

No need to put his body to more stress at a weight that he struggles with. Nothing else to prove at that weight. Devin Haney’s paper belt doesn’t hold any weight and I think he easily gets past Gervonta Tank Davis, who is so undisciplined that he sweats hot dog water during fights.

Actually, I think that’s a good fight from a business standpoint. I think that fight should happen at 140 though.

So I think the next logical fight is Lopez vs Jose Ramirez.

Since undisputed talks and Catterall's mando situation are still hot, I'll let him fight Haney first and then move up to challenge Barrios to earn a WBA spot, then fight the reigning undisputed at 140... Afterwards, defend vs. Mikey, Prograis, Postol, mandos or if Tank and Kingry tries 140... Then fight whoever is the "weakest" champ at 147...

I would wait and see if Gervonta or Berchelt are interested in moving up to fight Lopez should they win their next fights. If not, a move to 140 would probably be best. Would be a shame (from a manager's point of view) to lose the undisputed championship and momentum to another young gun like Devin Haney.

I just can’t see this kid fighting at 135 anymore. I’m imagining how much more effective he would be at 140 with the stamina and punch output. I also think his power will still be devastating at 140. Crazy that this kid isn’t even prime yet.

He needs to work on his defense, he started panicking and was all over the place when he was getting touched by Loma. Seems like he has a decent chin though. I think Haney, Davis and Ryan are close fights for him nothing given.

I’m not interested in a Haney fight. Haney will make it a really boring fight and hasn’t done anything to deserve the shot. Teo should move up in weight. There’s nothing else for him to prove at 135 and fighters can’t say he ducked anyone if he fights a Jose Ramirez or Taylor at 140.
