Get out of your feelings. The fact is that loma was being hyped as p4p #1 best fighter in the world and and already 1 of the best of all time. Lopez isn’t even on the p4p list, is only 23 and only had 15 fights. Loma was the huge favorite going in because people thought that he should’ve won.

All that “super fight” sht was ESPN/top rank hype. This wasnt supposed to be close. Loma was suppose to outclass Lopez based on how he’s been hyped up. He was exposed as being an overrated hype job. That doesn’t make him a bum, that just means that he’s not as good as the hype.

If you didn't have loma as top 3 p4p or atleast top 5 before the lopez fight then you don't know chit about boxing. He cant be a hypejob if hes a 3 weight world champ and a 33 year old grown man. Get your head out your a§ś

Loma had to go up in weight in order to challenge himself and lost like other great fighters do. Lopez passed the eyeball test and proved that he is legit against one of the p4p fighter currently in the sport.

Nobody should be called a bum or a hype job for losing in an elite level fight. But that’s the nature of boxing forums so it’s not worth getting annoyed about.


As I’ve said in many posts, it’s top-level boxing, you don’t get it all your own way. Last night he had a very good fighter in front of him and come up short. That’s really the top and bottom of it.

Do I think he’s one of the greatest of all time? Not at all, never did. But that hype to market fighters.
