    Bantamweight was vacant since 1987...

Speaking of those 2 divisions you pointed out, coincidentally, those lineage were last held by GrandPac alongside 147...

According to Mr. Mike DeLisa via an email, CBZ doesn't recognize Briedis, too... Not sure about Charlo or Lopez... I'll try asking once again at the end of the month...

TBRB seems to be the only major experts panel body who doesn't recognize Charlo as the lineal champion... The Ring, LBC.com and BoxingScene had him as the lineal, ESPN and BN have him at #1 (they don't have a lineal list)...

This isn't the only time TBRB doesn't recognize some universally recognized lineal champions though... They didn't recognize Darchinyan at 115, Mayweather at 147 (after beating Mosley) and Klitschko at 200+ (ater beating Chagaev) when they started in 2012...

    Will Inoue-Casimero still happen though?
Inoue will insist on it. The purse issue will be solved just like how Lopez-Loma was solved. Arum knows undisputed fights are worth their money.

Really hope it will push through early 2021... Would be a good supporting bout for Taylor-Ramirez...

Also hoping that Teraji-Kyoguchi and Moonsri-Niyomtrong happens... I wonder if these guys are ducking each other or there are other complicated issues... Moonsri and Niyomtrong already had an exhibition match anyway...

Can you do me a favor and post who you see as the first four lineal HW champions?

Who I see? I'm not the one to decide... But history shows: Sullivan, Corbett, Fitzsimmons, Jeffries...

By the way, Heavyweight lineage isn't really a concern these days since we already have Fury having the recognition... Unlike in the Bantamweight division wherein the last time we had a recognized champ was in 1987 (years before I even existed)...

That's plenty fair. Lots of time Lineal is made personal and I had assumed this is the case here. My mistake bud.

Food for thought, Corbett retired before he fought Fitzsimmons and gave his belt to a man called Maher. By the time Fitzs fought Corbett, Corbett's title was held by Sharkey.

I think it is interesting folks strip champions for retirements but recognize past retired champions reigning through their retirements. Pac in this case, Fury before his Wilder-II fight, etc. It comes up here and there. I'd understand vacating the division or retiring as a means to end a reign if it was a means to end a reign every time it came up. It isn't.

So one has to wonder how you pick and choose whose retirements or vacations equate to the end of their reign and whose do not without just being told.

I'm not trying to be a ****, argue, or anything disruptive. Just thought you might find the info interesting.

I may be seen as a parody account here, but IRL I've done some research regarding the lineal championships since around 2018...

How we view retirement or abdication during the early days of Queensberry rules have changed over the years due to how boxing scene has evolved, and how rankings are more apparent and subjective these days...

Before NBA and The Ring started to award champions, it is very critical for the boxing historians to accurately pinpoint who's who prior to the recognized champion by those 2 en****** I mentioned...
