Fights are scored by rounds not who landed the most punches throughout, but by the rounds. Loma didnt really do much for the first 8 rounds.

I think Loma+team thought the same as me and a lot of other people, that Teo would gas out (with the weight cut and all) and he could take it late wtih no problems.

Loma gave up the early fight and paid the price as Teo didn't wilt late on and was there to fight when Loma finally picked up the pace.

I knew the ridiculous 119-111 scorecard would give Loma fans wiggle room to whine about corruption and say Loma won. He clearly didn’t. Julie Ledderman has to be put down for good.

Whining about corruption and saying Loma won are two different things. Teo won the fight fair and square, but let me be the first to whine about incompetance/corruption when I see a 119-109 score card in a fight like that.

Went hard on the KO but it’s whatevs for me. I’m just glad that Lopez won. A fearless, explosive, English speaking undisputed champ is better for boxing than whatever Loma was. He had his run.

I don't know which fight those who had it for Lopez were watching, but Loma defintely landed more clean shots, dominated with his jab and controlled the pace.
His footwork was superb, and Lopez swung and missed alot with many punches landing on the gloves. I had it at least 7 rounds to 5 for Loma as he didn't do much in the first 3-4 rounds, but he pressed the action halfway, and many of the rounds were too close to call.

It's punches landed, not punches thrown - Loma was tattooing Lopez with left-right-left combination and flush jabs from rounds 4&5 on.

He did not look confident but I will say he showed heart when being outlanded and outmanoeuvred almost all of the time.

I definitely had it for Loma with a draw being slightly possible.

I wouldn't blame Loma if he retired after this robbery. I watched this fight in a pub, and everyone had the fight for Loma, with no sound on.

No wonder boxing is in decline. I'm disheartened by the corruption.

First off, I agree that Loma waited too long, okay. I've said that.

I just think he still won. It was a close fight to me and Teo delivered. He's a wicked fighter. Very skilled and boxed way better than I believed that he could. Big props.

Lastly, there won't be a rematch but clearly Loma and Lopez are distantly the best LW's in the world. Loma drops to #4 P4P and Lopez makes his debut.
