cruiserweight is generally pretty obscure as it is and there are a lot of times where theres no big names in the entire division. adding more weight classes will make it worse.
Considering up to a 20 pound cut is doable, if you cant fit between 195-175 or 220-200 then that is your own problem to figure out.Comment

I wouldn't cap it at 280. I'm making a point. It's also not common for HW's to fight below 224. You see the point? Why would you cap heavyweight at 280 . When it’s not common a heavyweight is over 255 ? What would be the purpose of that ?
If a CW wants to gain weight that’s their choice , if 99% of heavyweights fight above 224 that would be the reason wouldn’t it ? You then have 190 to 224 or whatever which makes sense. LolComment

You just said you’d cap it at 280 ? No , you got that backwards . They made the class because all the heavyweights fight over 224 ,you can’t seriously not get this ? They know from 200 to 224 would be a different class .Comment

Cruiserweight was originally 190 pounds and was created for boxers who could not quit make 175 but did not want to give away too much weight to heavyweights. It made sense then. Somehow the weight limit became 195 and then 200 and cruiserweight became a class of smaller heavyweights. The better cruiserweights like Holyfield, Haye and Usyk usually moved up to heavyweight anyway for bigger money and bragging rites if they won the heavyweight title. A 190 pound weight class make sense to me but a 200 pound class make less sense because the good one usually move up to heavyweight. A 224 pound weight class would be totally useless because the champion of 224 would move up to heavyweight every single time.Comment

Every pound deserves it's own division!
Also, you ever be like "Nah man, I can't fight him, look at that monster, he got like five maybe 6 whole pounds on my dude."? Yeah...me either, boxing's becoming a little girl sport.Comment

this has to be a joke.✅⚖️ WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has declared that the WBC board have now voted in favour of creating the new weight class between cruiserweight and heavyweight. The cruiserweight limit will drop to 190lbs and new division will be 224lbs in November. [@Boxing_Social]
