He literally eats punches, it baffles me. He is visibly hurt a few times but he recovers. I was only pointing out that he may have a better chin then Canelo and Mayweather because we have never seen Canelo or Mayweather be consistently hit flush the way GGG has.

Almost every fight I see GGG get tattoo'd a handful of times win or lose. His defense isn't the best, his jab keeps people at bay though.
What you gotta get with Golovkin is that he never overcommits or loses himself on the offense, he's always got an eye on what's coming back, so even though he does get hit he's generally braced for it. As they always say it's the ones you don't see coming that really do the damage.

Always think of Mayorga leaving his chin out for Tito when we talk chins, if you know its coming you can take it. Conversely dudes like Khan. Pure china, but if you watch his fights you see him take plenty of solid shots that don't even rock him, the ones that KO him happen when he's busy trying to string some flurry or combo together and forgets to watch the incoming.

Way I see it the 'chin' myth is 80% bullchit, there is varation, of course, but the guys with 'Chins of Granite' are basically the ones who never, ever, forget that the opponent can punch too.

15lbs is a base norm for rehydration for many youngies, and it insured the fight to go on while they can take the tolerance. JCC Jr. was given those special approvals on HBO to rehydrate 23lbs when he was holding that WBC strap at 160. It was no different on the crackdown with UFC fighters. UFC fighters look significantly more drained than boxers because that world of MMA is simply commercial business and fighting.

Now as far as boxing early month weights are all bogus and corrupt. Money and promotion are on the line. The fights need to proceed to assure the promoter(s) that the show must go on.

GGG is big at 160. His defenders ran with some cliche narrative to reference his early month weights which is the most gullible way to view the sport as a spectator since fans don’t know that boxers can and would drain for early month weights. So if a guy is hitting the sauna to hit 170 ahead of a Middleweight bout simply means boxing is just jokes.

It’s the same ****** idea of GGG diehards saying Brook was heavier than GGG before the fight. Lol. It simply means Brook was filled and didn’t do any drains at the 147 level while GGG was cutting water to hit the early scales with Brook. It’s basic common sense considering how big GgG was against Brook in the ring.

Fans are gullible unfortunately. It’s all money.

Mosley hit Margarito with about 15 right hands per round through 9. That’s a granite chin. Mayweather was ready to go after getting hit by just 2 rights from a 13 month layoff version of Shane.
