Almost all top black boxers come from one country that accounts for maybe 5% of the global black population, and they're not even really "black" in the African sense, as a group black Americans are heavily admixed with European DNA in a way that makes them (and other slavery descent blacks) genetically distinct from African blacks.

As a black American this is very very true and needs to be stated clearly. Due to our tragedies in history we are in fact different genetically than our African brothers and sisters. It’s why we are better in certain sports and they are better in others boxing being a huge example.

Non mexican White: 16 titles (5 ring belts)
Non mexican Black: 16 titles ( 1 ring belts)
Non black and white spanish speaking south american, and mexican : 16 titles (2 ring belts)
Other: 16 titles (2 ring belts)
Vacant: 4 titles
Counted only the main belts no regular bs, and this is based only on how they look(or nationality in mexicans case), cant tell if somebody had a great great great grandparent that was white/black/other.
No one is dominating for now i'll update this after saturday inchallah.

You are not very different, 400 years of slavery did not genetically change African American's. This ideology you are taking on board is racist, and is used to discredit Black people even more.

So white people are responsible for Black athletes success? Sort yourself out 'You are acting and typing like a backwards chump'.

The same could be stated about white people? There is no such thing as a 100% pure white race, if you want to get real technical about it 'If you want to get real scientific, there is the black race and then everyone else is a variation of black'.

There is not a single race of people on this planet, who does not have blackness in their genetics 'Black people are ground zero of humanity'.

Don't feel threatened and accuse me of racism discussing race in fighters is not racism and I didn't insult any race, in fact, celebrated the British and commented on how fantastic Lomachenko and Beterbiev are it's just my attempt to dispel a myth why does that offend you?

This thread was influenced by the Arum avoids black boxers post, and The Paulie Malignaggi comments that unfairly (in my opinion) led to his dismissal.

The narrative in boxing seems to be that Eastern Europeans now dominate boxing due in no part to fantastic fighters like Lomachenko and Beterbiev; however, in Boxing's 17 weight classes, we currently have 16 black champions of African descent whereas you currently have 8 champions of eastern European descent.

The Dominant nation is still America with 19 champions, and the United Kingdom, a tiny nation continues to punch above its weight with 6 champions despite having one-sixth the population of America.

Why does this myth of Eastern European dominance exist when they only have two more world champions than little Britain?

Per capita eastern Euros perform the best right now.

Even guys like deryanchenko and Postol are contenders. titles mean nothing with the way they are given out and with how crappy organizations act.

African Americas are always paper champs now---especially with PBC.
