Do you consider Deontay Wilder letting his rematch clause expire a duck?

He ducked the fight because a L would finish his career for good. Back to milking as much as he can fighting bums before finally cashing out in a big fight.Comment

When Hurd came out and said I don’t want to exercise my rematch clause against Jrock, I want to work on a few things etc I didn’t call that a duck.
When you decide to exercise your rematch clause, and you know the details entailed in it, and you let that expire, then it is a duck.... The fact that you fought that person TWICE means nothing.
If he came out before it expires and says am injured and would rather fight the undisputed winner or I would come back later then fine. But he made some BS video about the “King is here” and went into hiding like Osama bin laden, releasing videos through his cultists every other month, for them to try and discredit Fury.
So when I look at all his behaviour surrounding this issue yes it is a clear duck.Comment

Wilder was calling him out for an immediate rematch, but then Fury decided to take two more fights (Schwarz and Wallin) before scheduling to fight Wilder again.
But anyway, it doesn't matter what people think.
Deontay has never publicly stated that he doesn't want the fight, so until that happens it's not a duck. Case closed.Comment

Many people forget about that.

Obviously a duck if this fight doesn't go down. Granted Fury doesn't want it either, but not because he's afraid of losing again.
I don't believe we have the full story yet though. More will be coming out shortly. They better still have a valid contract for a third fight.Comment

No he didn’t he wasted months that’s why Arum signed him and he went on to take other fights, Wilder didn’t have an immediate rematch . He only fought Fury again because everyone said he lost the first fight and was embarrassed. He’s now wasted 8 months and didn’t show one ounce of wanting the rematch staying silent the entire time .Comment

To do that he had to duck the contract and or show no interest knowing Fury said he was going on which is a duck to . Wheather the fight was capable this year he still had no intention for any immediate fight with Fury .
It’s easier to say nothing and then claim someone else didn’t want the fight .Comment
