Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez at The Learning Tree

By Cliff Rold - On Saturday, IBF lightweight titlist Teofimo Lopez (15-0, 12 KO) will face unified WBA/WBO titlist Vasyl Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KO) in a showdown of the consensus top two lightweights in the world. When the final bell sounds, barring a draw, we will have the first real claimant to history's throne at lightweight since Terence Crawford vacated his claims to the throne...

This fight is good for many of the ressons the writer laid out. Agreed. For me neither fighter is what I consider one of my fighters. Odd usually even if it is a personal thing I pull for a certain fighter. Usually I must stay away from the personal garbage and go with the fight facts. It srprised me when they made the fight, thought it was another hype job but no they are making sure it happens. All things considered it will be settled in the ring. The way it should always be. I would like to check the ring size, and a few facts like that to help me pick, LOMO has condifence but that can get knocked down fast. Lopez just see's it one way...... another win. So am much as it agitates me to say it LOMO wins it. How will the win look ? Shorter then many expect. No one gets embarrassed or exposed but someone is going to get hurt. Lets hope the Refs, the judges, the powers that be keep out of this one and let them fight it out. Oh there will be no quit in this one. Forget about that.

Lool Did you even see a conference? Lopez is an emotional mess.

            Loma looked like he wanted
            to ripp his head
off right then and there, teofimo could ot even look into his eyes, acting like nervous punk lol

It will be fun to watch him in the ring , when his reality cracks, all that brooklyn bs talk dissolves and nervousness sets it... Loma is going to put a number on him, i bet they will throw a towel

Lopez is getting destroyed by his tongue - his ego releases **** and then he cant sit or look straight for more than a second.

The man is dealing with anxiety (those who have it, know it and can see it crystal clear - like myself), Loma is not his biggest challenge in life. Anxiety is always a sign of nervousness, and nervousness is always a reflection of fear. What we say says a lot less than what the body reflects. This is what happens to talkers, they have to a large job in front of them in trying to back it up.

Unlike other great yappers, Lopez is anxious as hell.

Plus how you can support a 23 year old arrogant boy that yaps yaps yaps nonsense from the second he wakes up. Is Trump not enough?

Why Lomo, the guy never did anything to you. It takes great psychological maturity to be respectful to those we dont like. Any chump can be respectful to the ones they like. I personally do not like Teo's yapping, but you'll never see me disrespect him. Lets try our best to be our best. Character is such a beautiful thing, yet so rare.

This could turn out to be a very good fight, but there is also a chance that it could be a humiliating loss for Teofimo. Lopez does not seem to be strong mentally. I get the impression that Lopez is not mentally strong. If he is weak in that department, Lomachenko could do some serious damage to him. History is littered with a lot of strong knockout fighters who have folded and never recovered when put the test. This includes Mike Tyson, Nicholas Walters, Jeff Lacy, and Naseem Hamed among others.

On the flip side, Teofimo could turn out to be the real deal. Time will tell.

President Trump is a master troll. The fact that he gets people like you to react so emotionally is proof of it. If you pay any attention to what Trump does on social media then you are beyond repair.
