    I've seen him fight. Other than him being relentless, I dont see what all the "hubub" is about. I think Floyd should just fight him already and end all this ****. I agree with the author, he is unproven and seems to be part of a hype machine but we'll see what happens.

      I think Diaz was his biggest win, i don't think he was supposed to win that one. And Lewis was still a threat and Margarito beat him faster then Mayorga did. Hercules was also undefeated propect and Margarito was just too much. As for Cintron, many people call this his best win, because before the fight it was a toss up in who would win according to many people and people expected fire works from both sides but Margarito just dominated. Good article but i'd give diaz and lewis more credit as fighters. And Hercules was a prospect that people were starting to notice untill Margarito ko'd him.

        Mayweather has made Margaritos name grow from his relucentcy to fight him for 8 million. I call it "the legend that is Antonio Margarito...."

          Earlier in his career he was supposed to be "the other fighter" versus a few guys as well like against Cintron and Kyvelos, the guy Sergio Martinez, the first danny perez fight, and the akfred ankamah were all fights that he was supposed to lose against a up and comer and he beat them all, knocked 4 of them out. he wasnt supposed to eb much but hes gotten pretty far, hopefully he can keep going and get the truly huge fights. to do that though, he needs to fight quality in december. from clottey on up, nothing less.

              I said something like this:
              I thought it was a bluff offer from Bob Arum to promote Margarito by having a big offer turned down by Mayweather... knowing full well Floyd wasn't going to take 8 million over a possible 12+ million (including a rise of stature/popularity) fighting Oscar...I think Floyd thought the fight was going to be a done deal for September against Oscar, but then Oscar decided not to do it...the offer was then taken away for the Margarito fight, {NO **** }
