    Open Discussion: Humberto Soto

I saw some comparisons of him towards Margarito but he is nothing like margarito. He is better technically and sets up his punches. He looked very impressive last week and has just lined himself up for a match vs the winner of juarez/barrera. IMO I think he would beat both barrera and juarez at this point.

He offers constnat pressure and even looks faster than i remember him. He should be another good fighter at super featherweight and would love to see him vs Pacquaio in the near future.

what do you guys think of soto?

Soto was very impressive. He walked through everything his opponent landed on him and landed bigger shots. I was very impressed with him but would have to see him in their with one more semi elite fighter at 130 and see how barrera looks in the rematch before picking him. A fight versus Mosquera or Peden would be a good test for him, and also Barrera has brought his career back to life a couple times and i'm reluctant to coun him out.

I'm not sure if Peden will make it past Pacquiao to get to Soto.

you really think so? I just saw Pacquiao versus kelly recently and i wasn't too impressed by him. He's a solid fighter but he's been knocked out like 6 times and from what i've seen from peden he's a bit more solid.
But if Bobby wins that'll still be a good fight because obby likes to brawl.

I think soto is on the barrera/juarez/morales/pac/marquez level. HE took everything that juarez could throw and even with the bogus scoring he still beat juarez.

From his performace i would agree with you, but none of those guys would be willing to fight him just yet so he probably needs one more step up fight.

Soto vs. Juan Diaz would be a classic.
