He's also fought a better caliber of opponents, including quite a few champions. Teofimo does come out quick, looking for the knockout right from the start. That's a much more exciting style to watch, but it also leaves him open to counters, cuts, and knockouts.
T.M.T is the same guy who said Vergil Ortiz was a clown and other negative things - and when Shakur Stevenson fought an opponent who was not as good as the opponent Ortiz fought, he had nothing bad to say about Stevenson. Exhibit A: https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=850290

If he could only fight as well as he and his dad can brag he would be a 10 to 1 betting favorite instead o a 4 to 1 underdog.

If anything, the difference amongst who thinks whose going to win is awesome for this fight. It really is a 50/50 fight which are awesome to watch because the outcome is truly unpredictable. Seeing fans on both sides support either is awesome.

Thankfully the year is coming to a nice close with some decent matchups and this one is tremendous amongst those remaining matchups.

Vergil Ortiz is a very good fighter, and on the verge of fighting for a title in about 1 or 2 more significant wins. At 15-0 (15KO's), against a few real good wins, you've got to respect that record. As far as Shakur Stevenson goes, the boxing experts are saying the skies the limit. I don't see that kind of greatness, but he's won a title already this guy's got speed, and good ring IQ. He's also going to be fighting for a second title very soon at the young age of 23.

Now if only that user named T.M.T would have been unbiased, he would have respected both, instead of disrespecting Ortiz and praising Stevenson for obvious reasons.

Yet Broner gets criticized when he does the same thing.

With Broner, he would probably have gotten less criticism if he had toned down the racial slurs and Mayweather imitations (throat grabbing, throwing money down the toilet, attempting shoulder rolls). But the bottom line is he has made some serious bank. In the ring he would have been more successful had he turned up the heat early. He always seems to turn it on just a little too late in a fight. Personally, I think Lopez and Broner both are a$$holes. But if they back up what they say, then can't fault them if they do what they say.
