  • Comments Thread For: Lomachenko vs. Lopez: A Dream Match and a Grudge Match Rolled Into One

By Corey Erdman - Try as it might to pass for its former self, a good portion of boxing's offerings during the global pandemic have been aseptic. Something from the fighters, from the limited audience, just hasn't been there. Even if, counterintuitively, the fights themselves have been enjoyable, if not thrilling. The past eight months have produced a classic battle between...

Describing simply what would be the outcome of the kind of Lopez's offensive talk, if it happened in Lomachencko's home country of Ukraine, cannot be considered in any way as "offensive". It is polite and explanatory.

For the writer to talk about a "grudge" match is belabouring the term, and trying to make a tabloid headline, from a Lopez loudly proclaiming HIS grudge. That is, if a "grudge match" can be "one-sided". In this case it certainly is.

And, to complicate matters further, Lopez himself says that all his talk is purely and only to boost up and advertize the fight, that Lomachenko, because of his minimal English can't do it. In other words there is really NO grudge. THIS reminds me of ******** fake news.

          Teofimo Senior, kept it G.

Papa Lopez, told Bumochenko in person that his son would knock-him-out. Teofimo Lopez jr. confirmed the message on the Lomachenko-Pedraza undercard, when Teo delivered a highlight-reel KO vs. Mason Menard.

Everything Lopez senior has said, has come to pass : IBF world-champion in 15 pro-fights and this Saturday young Teo answers and justifies his fathers boasting.

'' He ( Lomachenko ) will be an easy fight for my son. ''

“We’re going to do the same thing with Loma because Loma is going to be easier cause Loma stays in the pocket, you know? Lomachenko is coming to fight. I love that,” said Teofimo Sr.

Lopez clearly stated that it is personal and goes in addition to a different grudge between his father and Loma team, it's personal because he sees something behind the scenes.
Your pathetic ignorance and trying to prove otherwise reminds me of fox news bull****ting everyone.

There is no doubt the fight is going to be great no matter how long it lasts who wins or how it ends due to the set up. I liked the set up to the fight tht was writen about how the fights have lacked the real emotion of a fight for some reason. Be it no fans or whatever. Something still is missing in boxing. Call it Covid Cloud whatever. Will this fight pull it out of the fog ? I dont know, but I am loooking towards it happening. I hope they get into it so nasty they toss the ref out the ropes and beat eatch other past the bell. That is what I am hoping for something like that. Forget it all rip it up. Time for talk done pasted, time for a fight to break out in the ring they go no choice on this one.

Bro most of my bets are for Loma to stop Teo hopefully in the 10th.
And going by odds most believe it will be before the 10th.
Teo not getting out of this fight with a decision.
