Damn, boxing fans really suck. Am I the only one who roots for the young fighters. Ortiz, Ennis etc! Lets see them both step up and prove themselves without tearing them down first. Id rather see both do great and meet at the top.

This is stated exactly backwards! I love both fighters. But Boots is NO WHERE to be hit! He moves so fast he's damn near teleporting! Ortiz is just a bully. Meaning he's just an offensive fighter with pop. HE is there to be hit. By the time he swings at Boots, Boots will be gone, and countering.

I'd take Boots in this fight. But I'm not discrediting Ortiz. He's a helluva fighter as well. And they are BOTH the future of the division. No way this fight happens in the next 3 years. But hopefully it does after that. By then, they will both have beaten bigger names

The reason these two guys get mentioned in a fight together so often by fans, is that it's easy to see they are the future

Ennis has a good future, i'm pretty sure he will be champ sooner or later. But damn this division is so packed, that will be tough...

Mikey or Thurman would be excellent! They won't do it voluntarily, so a final eliminator would be necessary! I would pick Boots over both of them!

I actually believe that this is one of those fights that will happen, their are fans talking about it already. I've seen a few of Ortiz's fights he fights like a true warrior. I've only seen highlights of Ennis's fights, his promotional team doesn't seem as well connected in the industry as Ortiz's. What I've seen of both is equally impressive, I just see Ennis being a bit more fluid, and faster. Unless he has some china in his chin, he should win that fight when it's made based on those aforementioned attributes.

i'd like to so optimistic about it. but i wont hold my breathe haha.

i think punching power will be a big factor in this fight.

right now i would pick ortiz to massacre ennis.
