Wilder should have taken Joshua's 100 million dollar offer. Instead, Wilder fought showcase fights and ran into a washed up junky that didn't get the memo.
I rated Joshua coming through but the warning signs were there from the early .Joshua has improved immensely but I fully understand why they kept him away from Wilder. If average fighters like Ruiz and Whyte could get to him , let alone a faded Wlad then Wilder with that punch power would destroy him. The Hearns knew this and it amazes me that some others don't see it.If Tyson hammers Wilder again then the Hearns have swerved a bullet as they can make more excuses why it's not a good idea to fight Wilder.Bellow 's claim to fame was getting ironed out by a light heavy and a cruiserweight .Some people count David Haye , I don't and Haye said it himself from as early as the first round in the first fight he knew he was finished. Tyson Fury v Bellow would be beyond ridiculous.Comment

Again...
If AJ was so easy to beat Wilder would have taken Joshua's 100 million dollar offer.
Exactly. If your a big stiff static target like AJ, who’s not exactly durable either, then you’re going to get ironed out by Wilder.
It’s one thing running around the ring away from a fat midget like Ruiz who was in no condition to fight, but the reality is AJ is a basic straight line fighter. I don’t see anybody like that avoiding being caught by Wilder. And certainly nobody like that can beat Fury.Comment

Wilder is done, he should retire.Comment

Got Fury cleaning Wilder in the rematch. Probably under 3 also. Who you got for Dubois vs Joyce?
Joyce. I’m not as massively sold on Dubois yet as some people are. I can see why they are, But loads of fighters have a look great at the level he’s been fighting. He has ability though.
Also I think Joyce is probably much better when you’re in with him than he looks on the outside.
I think I will be more impressed if Dubois wins. Maybe because he’s younger and a win at that age will mean he may have the big future everyone says.
If you held a gun to my head, I would say Joyce wins. Something about him makes me think he will be very difficult to beat for guys outside of the very top of the division or maybe some extremely mobile fighter Usyk. I think he’s a problem for everyone else with his heavy hands, toughness and good engine. I don’t know if Dubois is seasoned enough to deal with that right now and not necessarily mobile enough to make Joyce really pay for being a bit slow.Comment

The truth is Wilder avoided everybody including AJ because his management team knew he was a fraud.Comment

Anyway you said him and Fury are close friends, which is just totally untrue.
Most people in boxing are pretty friendly and have known each other for years and years behind the scenes, from being amateurs and sparring etc. doesn’t necessarily mean they are close friends.Comment

He's the only boxer I know of who whilst still active would say "I wouldn't win against Fury, Wilder etc. " then go on to explain why he would lose to them. He was well aware of his own strengths and weaknesses and never overestimated his skills (very rare in boxing).
He picked Haye to fight because he knew he had the style to beat him. He also knew he wouldn't stand a chance against most heavyweights.
He is straight up and honest and accepts when he gets things wrong. He isn't the sort to say things just to blow smoke up anyones butt.
I never liked the man until he retired, then I looked through his interviews and comments and realised he is actually a decent, honest man with a lot of boxing knowledge.Last edited by Angeljuice; 10-10-2020, 11:01 AM.Comment
