That said how can you not like Dave Allen. He's the quintessential everyman boxer getting a shot vs name guys. It's like if your dad was a boxing promoter & asked you after Thanksgiving dinner if you wanted to fight Artur Beterbiev or some sh^t. It's sorta crazy but I dig it at the same time.

I like Dave but he hasn’t even won an area title. He should be nowhere near PPV boxing but he sells a few tickets so they always put him on the bigger cards. Even behind closed doors I guess he’s a recognisable name for the casuals.

Allen has pop but he can't even out box English level dudes, this is a tough matchup for him. Hammer is too tough and durable to be bombed out by the Rhino, so he will take Dave the distance and beat him on points while Allen smothers most of his own work

I completely agree mate, I’d much rather try and see him win the Area or English title and then eventually maybe the British or Commonwealth.

I don’t see much point in putting him in with World/European level when he’s only going to get outclassed and maybe even hurt.

I feel like Hearn exploits him man, he’s taken some real bad beatings at the hands of Ortiz, Yoka and even Price. Whenever Sky have a void in a card it’s like they just throw Allen to the wolves to make up the numbers.
