He is an uncrowned champ, he was Joshua’s mandatory and somehow his shot wasn’t called but got a IBF mandatory called for Pulev who pulled out the fight and then it went to Carlos Takam which was a voluntary!

That means no way should Ortiz have been sidestepped for a voluntary!

Ortiz’s KO win over a 1 loss prime Bryant Jennings who went 12 with a prime Wladimir Klitschko is way better than anything Takam did to deserve a shot at the title first!

Simply Hearns likely paid the IBF to push the mandatory on Takam over the WBA calling for Ortiz as a mandatory to be fulfilled!

Who knows if Ortiz could or couldn’t have beat AJ at that time?

One thing for sure, everyone else got work except Ortiz!

This isn’t inflating either, the only other time it came close to fruition is when AJ offered an older Ortiz to fight with only a few weeks for training camp at the last minute!

Again, take away the politics and the power a promoter can have with big money and maybe Ortiz’s shot as a mandatory would’ve been rightly called over Takam an Ortiz beats Joshua and he’s a champion!

    Facts my friend

Can't have sympathy when Team Ortiz were caught lying about receiving an offer from Hearn and then bluffed an excuse when exposed on one of the PBC's very own fan club YT channels.

Doing PEDs is basically why he lost the shot in 2017 anyway.

Makes you wonder why a 40 year old multiple-time drug cheat would turn down a career high pay day (by far) against the WHC....

Milton is not experienced enough to give Ortiz the kind of work that he'll face against Flores. I hope he spars with more experienced fighters who either fight something like Flores or can effectively imitate him. Ortiz will likely teach more than learn from sessions with the green Milton.

Ortiz left his mandatory WBO spot to fight Wilder so he himself gave up the mandatory. The IBF mandatory was issued in 2016 bf Ortiz signed on his 3 fight matchroom deal which he left after 2 fights when he was offered Whyte while AJ fought Pulev who became Takam eventually.

Nothing you said is actually a fact .
