This way if Ryan gets beaten, they still have Ortiz to lean on.
I think Vergil is too big to be King Ry's wingman. He should be headlining his own cards or co-maining vs bigger names.

And if King Ry loses its not like he's done or anything like that where they'll have to lean on Vergil. Losing to Luke is a very forgivable L for a 22 year old.

Luke is an Olympic champion, who's only loses are to a world class level vet early in his career, a close fight with a 3 weight division title holder & to a guy considered a top 3 p4p caliber guy by most pundits & fans. King Ry would clearly be Luke's lowest opposition L & Luke would clearly be King Ry's biggest W.

The Teixeira vs Castańo fight could very well be the co-feature, if so it would be a heck of a card. Throw in a couple of prospects such as Hector Tanajara and Joet Gonzalez to round up the undercard.

“For years, the world of boxing has been clamoring for a crossover star who can reach new audiences that have gone untapped for far too long,” said Oscar De La Hoya,"

Nobody has been saying that. Nobody that is a fan of boxing has been saying that. The kid is 22 and DLH is claiming he has gone untapped for "far too long"? In what world?

That would be a real good card but I hope Oscar decides to put Vergil on but doubt it.

Very interesting fight. Nice to see Garcia's self belief.

Campbell has never been world champion, what are you talking about?

Loma v Campbell was for the vacant WBC and Loma’s belts he already had.

Campbell had no belt going into the fight. the WBC was vacant.

                    Not sure

I remember they called Klitschko v Joshua a unification too, but Joshua had the IBF and the WBA was vacant

Might be an Eddie Hearn thing

Big step up, but I think he’s up to the challenge.
