An 85% win record in the amateurs at such a young age is actually very good. It’s not like he stayed in the amateurs beating up kids until his mid 20’s

That’s not knocking Loma. I’m a fan. My point is that Lopez and his amateur losses aren’t really a factor, nor is the fact his best win is Commey. And the fact he folded Commey in 2 rounds is sone proof he’s operating on at least a very good level.

There’s a point when even every great fighters best win was a Commey or something. Ali had no business beating Liston because his previous wins were not on that level. Fury had no business beating Wlad based on his best wins.

I’m not saying Lopez wins the fight, but my point is it’s very dumb to use your reason when every fighter that’s gone on to defeat top fighters was in the same boat as Lopez beforehand. Nobody starts at the elite level.
