    Punches Named After Fighters...

I think it would cool if each fighter had his own signature punch, like Andy Ruiz with the "Heft Hook"

Frank Moran had a punch he called "Mary Ann".. Gunboat Smith also had a favourite punch, but I can't recall it's name. Marciano had his Suzy Q. Luther McCarthy had his "Betsy".

(I think Gunboat Smith got his nickname because of the size of his feet).

During WW1, the Germans had a very loud, heavy cannon shell which emitted lots of black smoke and did great damage. The British soldiers, called it 'The Jack Johnson". As a kid I still can remember hearing old retired soldiers mentioning it. KId McCoy had his "Corkscrew Punch". And Ali had his "Anchor Punch"..

I know none of these were named after the actual fighters, and I can't recall that any were. so this is the next best I can do.

For some reason, I have an urge to call Tyson's left hook and uppercut combo the "chicken and dumplins."

The punches I saw Tyson use with great effectiveness, were after coming out of a weave and sip, his right to the body with a sudden switch to the head. with the same right, to finish both the combination and often the opponent. I never saw anyone do this so skillfully and at lightning speed.

Carl Froch's leaping uppercut, was based on 'Ken & Ryu's uppercut from the Retro game Street fighter'.

Early on in his career, Froch would attempt to execute a leaping uppercut from quite a distance. If you have watched Froch's entire career, you will know what punch I am referring to etc
