One of the best fights I’ve ever seen.

Both Zepeda and barychyk carved there names in boxing history with that fight.

    Definitly foty and kotf.

      Exactly what I saw.

      Sloppy and very, very basic.

I've seen some great, grueling matches, fights I knew were going to be legendary the second they were over.

      This was not that...

            .
This was that and more, in an unexpected fight. Zepeda tried to box first 2 rounds and found he was getting tagged much. He realized the only way is to fight and fight hard. He did and won a war.

            Watch again.

No, I really don't need to.

This was really a no skill fight.

Both men fought as if they were never taught a jab.

Wonderful action, horrible science...which is why it's not in the same conversation as any legendary war.

              You watch again.

It's also fighting, it doesn't always have to be about the science. The science has many variations. Did you find it boring, any second of it after round 2? Were you entertained?

Some consider the sweet science at the highest level (let's say Floyd) boring.

Then surely you must think Hagler/Hearns was also a “sloppy no skill” war right? Two guys just swinging until one falls and no jabs.

Like I said look at what your watching Zepeda is highly skilled and technician but realized he was in against a hard hitting aggressive whirlwind so he had to bite down at fight just like Hagler and Hearns.

                    This was definitely not Hagler-Hearns.

Don't get me wrong, the knockdowns were entertaining.

But, in-between the KDs, the boxing itself wasn't particularly good or brutal.

It was clumsy and sloppy, lots of misses and tie-ups.

Not a great fight outside the obvious.

                      Are you serious?

Have you seen Hagler/Hearns recently? They showed no jabs no movement no defense just decided to swing and go at it doesn’t mean they didn’t have skill they did just like Zepeda but they decided to fight that night and not use the sweet science and just like it worked out for Hagler and Hears being that that’s the fight there most remembered for and is a classic.

Again if you call this fight sloppy and no skill well then Hagler/Hearns is also “sloppy and no skills”

                      You can’t pick and choose.

Both fights were wars but If anything Zepeda actually used more skill out of those 3 guys if you really wanna talks about “skills” in those fights. Zepeda was setting his left hand up while using his defensive skills when he could to make Baranchyk miss and counter with that shot. Hagler/Hearns literally just swung for the fences no defense on either side no jab nothing just swinging.

Sometimes guys decide to fight and that’s what Zepeda/Baranchyk and Hagler/Hearsn did now if you wanna call it wild and sloppy then Hagler/hearns was also wild and sloppy but look at how that fight is remembered.
