Not many share your sentiments. Comparing Davis to Lacy doesn't show a bright boxing mind. You must be British. Bunce, one of your UK commentators, likened Davis to Lacy before the Walsh fight and he had been eating his words since.

Leo is skilled and throws a lot of punches, but he's out of his league here. Your take would be right on the money if you were talking about Russell vs Cruz, and saying fight would be even. Leo hasn't been in the ring with anyone like Gervonta.

Watch the fight and educate yourself. Pay attention to his boxing skills, fuck the power. I hate quick KOs. I'd say he's more skilled than Santa. The power is a God given extra. I'd say Davis hasn't gotten out of 3rd gear in all his fights. I wanna see someone who brings the best out of him. It's not Cruz.

Davis would probably break his nose in the first round. Not saying it lasts only one round.

For some reason the British have latched on to the lacey-calzaghe fight and have never let go. Lacey was never thought highly of here but for the british, particularly the English (which makes no sense since Joe was very nationalistic about being Welsh), lacey in their minds was an American institution. Quite obviously this is also a matter of skin colour as both Davis and Santa Cruz are Americans....

Calzaghe wasn’t past his prime and shop worn....and had good power - Lsc has ZERO kos in over FIVE years! Prime Lsc would have a shot....but not this old slow pillow-fisted version.

This is a fun, exciting fight that a focused, motivated Davis should win. But are all of you telling me you would be shocked by Cruz controlling this thing and pulling out the upset? To repeat the thought, that is nuts. This guy is a serious fighter that has a ton of hard fight experience. This is a great main event to welcome fans back to.

I agree that this shouldn't be PPV but I think you're overrating Davis a bit. Who is his best win by the the way? How good do you really think he is? Where do you put him on the P4P list? I'd say he's still unproven but that's just my opinion. Time will tell.

Davis best win is Ko over an undefeated Jose Pedraza. Davis is overrated with a padded record and Pbc doesn’t want to risk his 0 against legit top tier fighters at lightweight. Lsc is past his prime and lacks any power or speed to bother Davis....Leo struggled to beat somebody named M. Flores to win a vacant title at his 1st fight at 126. Can’t blame him for cashing out at the end of his career.
