Comments Thread For: Daniel Jacobs, Gabe Rosado Reach Agreement To Fight November 27

DAZN apparently pushed for Ryder but in the end, they accepted Rosado despite this being Jacobs' last fight of the deal...crazy!
It really makes it looks like DAZN, when push comes to shove, don't mind mismatches, they only mind "high 8 figure purses" mismatches!

Glad Rosado was able to secure a payday...maybe his last big one, but he secured an exceptional purse for this one. I'm sure.
Most DAZN fighters haven't fought since when, late February? Early March? I just want these guys to be active and we can figure the rest out later on. Some of these guys haven't seen action all year.Comment

What a pathetic choice by Jacobs. Jacob's moves up to 168 and his first fight is a former middleweight who by the way sucks. Rosado was a gatekeeper at 160, but that was years ago. He is so past his prime that he is not even good enough to be a gatekeeper at 160.
This really is a bad choice for Jacobs. He should be testing the waters at 168 with a legit lower ranked top 10 super middleweight. Instead of doing the logical thing he is fighting a guy and beating him will mean nothing and will tell the public nothing about how Jacob's will do at 168. If this is the kind of fights Jacobs wants at 168 he does not deserve a title shot anytime soon.
Rosado’s best days were at 154.
His middleweight record is :
4 wins (1 KO)
7 losses (4 by KO)
1 Draw
1 no contest.
Now he’s about to fight at 168. Lol. I like Gabe. But this is a horrible move for Danny Jacobs in terms of career progression, which you’ve already explained.
I’m just here to tell you it’s even worse than thought.Comment
