Why are Canelo haters fixated on Charlo? Bivol and Beterbiev are the harder challenge

Let’s be honest here. Derev hurt Charlo in rounds 6-8. He took some body shot to the liver and Charlo grinced. He then took a combo from Derev on the ropes...

Truth is Canelo is WAY STRONGER than Charlo. Jermall may have a wide frame, but his legs are thinner.. when he takes shots from Canelo the upper weight is going to budge him off balance easy.

Bivol is a more turbo mode fighter, rangy, very athletic and high work rate. Though I think Canelo KO’s him to the body tbh. I like Bivol a lot. His workout drills are the real deal and he’s entertaining to watch, but these types you break down to the body.

Last but not least and everyone here has heard me say it, but Beterbiev is the real challenge cause he’ll go for broke with Canelo and try to walk him down.

Charlo will just keeping draining at 160 wasting his time, same with Andrade.

The better question is why are Canelo fan boys satisfied with Canelo beating opponents in boxing forums as opposed to inside the ring.

All we hear from you fan boys is that Canelo beats so and so like this and like that but it never actually happens in the ring.

Why are you content with that?

Why aren't you demanding these fights so that Canelo can actually do what you say in the ring?

Is it perhaps because you don't really believe he can?

      Two reasons:

      1. Canelo didn't accept the emeritus/franchise designation to avoid Bieterbiev or Bivol and

      2. Charlo, while not a household name, has far more name recognition than either Bieterbiev or Bivol.

Well... Charlo would have a size advantage but not like Beterbiev and Bivol at 175. Canelo already looked hilarious against Fielding, even more against Kova.

Even though he fought at 75, I don’t think anyone is expecting a Beterbiev fight ever.

Bivol will never happen. Bivol has two things goingt against him. He isn’t american and he doesn’t exactly have a pleasing style and is thus largely unknown. Bivol is a stylistic nightmare for Canelo. Horrifically undersized and the dude will just pot shot him to death from range.

Same way we were never going to see Roy vs a K Bro, Pac vs Sergio, etc etc.

        But you never know.

Lol. Context much? Charlos are 30 as is Canelo. Andrade older. Loma and Bud older. P4P is what’s up. 2020 was a horrible year so let’s not pretend that what we’re talking about would’ve already happened.

Bivol beats Jermall Charlo, Andrade and Plant. Only guy who stands a chance is Canelo. I’d say Benavidez would beat Bivol too.

Your opinion is noted. That stated, you asked a specific question and I answered it.

As long as Canelo doesn't fight Charlo, there will always be the fact he avoided him the way he did on record. I think most fans think he can beat Charlo so that makes it look even worse.

Ok so basically a world-class opponent had some success against Jermall Charlo. What about the other rounds where Charlo busted Derevyanchenko up? Derev is a very good fighter so of course he would be competitive. It's not like you're describing a journeyman.

I mean, Bivol should beat Charlo considering they’re separated by two weight classes. Bivol isnt a huge 75er but he’s definitely not a small 68er.

He has also shown a little more class to his game. Mall can punch but it’s doubtful he’d be anywhere near as effective against a 75er. He’d likely get worked but that’s no shame when we’re talking an elite fighter from two divisions up in comparison to one two divisions down.

Bivol might very well beat all those guys you said, maybe even Benavidez. He’s REALLY good. But I think he’s too fleet footed and unwilling to engage for Canelo’s liking. I dont think GBP would be in a hurry to chase that fight ever.

What we need to see is Bivol vs Beterbiev.
