Venmoing ppl for links is a thing now?

So I made a thread asking about the video vault sub forum because i was looking for a link to a recent fight (I later realized that only certain accounts have access to that library forum). Then the user @Pigeons writes me saying he has a link and to DM him.

I DM the slime ball and he's asking me to venmo him $20 bucks for the link. Now, I could understand if this was not NSB or if we were on reddit or something like that, but here? On boxingscene? I haven't been on here in a long time but please tell me that's not the norm these days and this dude is just a broke spineless weasel?
