90% of the comments in here are stone cold ******. Banana trained for the fight of his life. He didn't dive. He was put down by a jab to the body. It happens. It's not even the 1st time the Charlo's dropped ppl with body jabs. Let a friend punch you 2 inches below your belly button. Now imagine Charlo hitting you there. These dudes are on a level where they can kill somebody in the ring. That's just how it is when you give you all in the gym month after month, year after year. Add to that the possibility of banana being weight drained. Add to that the cumulative effect of the shots he took in the earlier rounds. So what happened surprised me when I 1st saw it, but it doesn't shock me.

he didnt take a dive hes just pretty glass. he was flopping all over the ring against gallimore as well. whenever he gets hurt he just turns into a fish. in retrospect williams vs rosario was the biggest glass fight of all time

I like how when Canelo seriously KO’s an opponent, like the Khan or Kirkland bouts, the officials push Canelo away from the fighter while Nelo is trying to see if the opponent is ok. Even when hit Kovalev with that mean intention left hook he told the crowd to “shhh” from the joy.

Whereas Ronnie and Charlo joke around on camera “looks like he is having a seizure” way after the acting had passed during the count.

I’ve seen Ward and Floyd fully extend body jabs with harder force repeatedly, same area above the belt, yet their opponents still going...

I’m glad more people are realizing this. Dives are more reasonable with no names and even better from Third World Countries where an athlete earns in dollar. Top that off with Haymon having criticism meetings with the promoters and what the networks are saying, much of it is insecurity. Lukowitz imho had to play the part and probably the mastermind behind it all. That is backed with Haymon having affiliates tell Sam what to do to benefit everyone. It simply refers to dates and scheduling for 2021 for Sam’s promotions. The last Benavidez fight looked bad because it’s risky to do a PPV with a fighter whom struggles with weight. It just devalues the promotion with Plant or whoever else.

All these dudes are scrumptious behind the scenes and as long as everyone gets the bread everyone will play the part.

There’s a lot of coercion at PBC. Some fighters whom you’d didn’t think would be out for so long have lost value. Notice how in PBC losses a fighter gets another title opportunity or big purse again.. that’s how Haymon pulls the strings and is why his fighters are secure under PBC because they’ll make a good purse even if the fight isn’t ideal.

Rosario got an extra stipend to dive in whichever round he chose. Doesn’t mean he had to, but offer a fighter a super stipend and they’ll play the part when the waters are deep while also being offered guaranteed fights in the future. Expect a Rosario vs Jrock rematch while they make a good purse.

The worst part of it all is that Rosario was confused for when to dive and how to act.

He was simply water drained from cutting weight and the punch landed at the right spot at the right time.
You’re talking to guys in here who couldn’t rub their brain cells together to form an amoeba. Most within these comments are lucky to have finished high school and probably most GED. They lack any critical thought processes in order to string together a sequence of logic.

Yes yes he took the dive because we all know that promoters just love paying more money (In the thousands) out of their pockets to cover the medical expenses they’d be on the hook for when they could have easily covered him with time in a locker room. And yes yes he took a dive when he almost had his head popped off rounds prior.

Literally, the clowns commenting are maybe one point of intelligence quotient above what could be used in a court of law as being just above the spectrum.

Although I didn't see the fight, I did rear the BoxingScene report on it. Based on that I give an initial on the fight, Rosario might have to anxious before, and during the fight. That can have a unexpected effect on one's body, more importantly though he was in a tough fight. Rosario had already been knocked down twice, prior to the third, and final knocked down that a few fans thought was a dive. It was stated that Rosario looked disoriented before the start of the round which he was counted out. To that I'll say no one knows exactly what a fighter is feeling before, during, or after a fight. I've fought in, and out of the ring, it's not a joking matter fighters get injured, sometimes permanently, and others die as a result of their injuries. For fans to act like they no exactly what happened in a particular fight, that's a cheap shot at the fighter who had the guts to enter the ring in the first place. I remember a European fighter fighting in Mexico for a title, it was a brutal fight, the European got knocked out late in the fight. The point of that fight is that the fans thought that the European fighter was faking it, and as he was being carried away on a stretcher they threw objects, and even spat on him. That European fighter died 7 weeks later from the injuries he received in that fight. The European fighter was Johnny Owen from Wales, fought Lupe Pintor a tough as nails fighter from Mexico, who was the defending champion on 9/19/80. On 7/19/19 Maxim Dadashev from Russia fought a grueling fight with Subriel Matias from Puerto Rico, that fight was stopped in the 11 round, in favor of Matias. Dadashev vomited as he walked away from the ring, and had to be placed on a stretcher then transported to a nearby hospital. He also died as a consequence of the injuries that he sustained, but that we can't feel because we aren't taking the punishment. Thanks for showing your concern for the fighter SlimPickings, we should have a certain amount of respect for those who dare to enter the ring.

Think its safer to fight Mall instead of Mell in all honesty.

Mall simply isn't aggressive enough and doesn't sit on his punches. He has more power naturally but Mell punches harder because he actually sits down on his punches and definitely won't let you off the hook if you get hurt like Mall did with Chenko so many times.
