Lacy May Return in December

According to an interview in The Tampa Tribune, former super middleweight champion Jeff Lacy may return as early as December. Now that fights with Antonio Tarver and Allen Green have gone up in smoke, he is rededicating himself to the sport and putting full focus on his return. [details]

It's been said in other threads- I feel Lacy needs to come back this year. He needs to salvage his mental confidence after such a nasty defeat or else he may just be a shell of the man he was. It's very important he jump back into the ring and show himself, more than anyone else, that he still has skills. If he waits too long he may never get back to the level he had been at. If you're a Lacy fan I would suggest you hope the December return happens.

I like Lacy but I really don't think what Calzaghe did to him was luck. He beat the **** out of him. That was Lacy coming in underestimating his opponent. He paid a dear price for that.

He needs to fight 2 more times this year, and have first round knockouts. Mike Tyson did it after his first loss and he was back in the game. I dont believe Lacy is done physically.

Lacy underestimated Calazage and paid for it. Now he nows what to do. A couple of tune up fights and hell be able to beat Calzaagi

Lacy won't ever be the same. There's a reason he turned down Allan Green and broke up with Gary Shaw. He doesn't want a big fight, which means his confidence is shot, which means he is probably done.
