Jermell should be undefeated right now yet taking a L made Charlo a different animal. Jermall finally getting respect w/ another legit scalp. Majority have commented liking Mall better or how's superior? Might be yet I'm liking Mell (obviously lmao) how "Iron Man" knocking people out differently [jab, hooks, bodyshots

I mean I really like Jermell's style. But 5 years ago, this Jermell doesn't win a round. Even now he wouldn't win many rounds. Who has ever stopped Lara, and who has Jermell faced that is even in this Lara's league? Lara would pot shot all night imo.

But we shouldn't have to guess about it. It should be the next fight for both.

Lara is a good fighter, but he isn't some world beater bro and he is pillow fisted. I think Jermell would get him out of there, he been getting everybody he fought recently out of there and he hasn't been fighting no scrubs.

I mean...I don't think his competition level has been bad, but they haven't been great either. Kind of unproven guys or average guys. Lara may be too old now, you may be right. But I hope we see it. Jermell struggles to win rounds boxing, so he better get the KO vs Lara (and a lot of other guys).

Lol besides Paul Williams who had already lost to Quintana and been knocked out by Martinez, what great fighters has Lara beaten?

He's a skilled fighter, but you can't say Jermell hasn't beaten anyone, and insinuate Lara has...He's recently lost to Hurd, and should've lost to Castano. Charlo stops Lara at this point.

Lara beat Hurd on my card. Lost 7-5 to Canelo on my card. And then you list that he beat Paul Williams and try to explain that away lol. Point being he has been in with and been competitive with much better fighters than Jermell.

It took Charlo 22 rounds or so to stop Tony Harrison dude. Slow the hype train down before you get hurt lol. Jermell is dangerous and I like his swarming style, but he struggles to win rounds against ANYONE, even C level guys, much less an A level boxer like Lara.

All someone needs to be is a little bit better/more durable than Tony Harrison or Rosario and they beat him, right?

It doesn't matter if you think Lara beat Hurd. The fact is, he had to get off his ass, en route to a loss. Then turns around and almost lost to Castano his very next fight.

The point is, he's not the same fighter anymore. I brought up the Paul Williams fight to point out that's probably his best win (and that was 9 years ago!). His Canelo fight was 6 years ago. A few years back, if you want to say you'd favor Lara over Charlo, I'd actually agree. But to say he still beats him now, when he's basically lost 2 of his last 3 fights, and got dropped and hurt by a guy who doesn't hit as hard as Jermell is incredibly biased and short sighted. Judging by your recent posts, it's clear you don't like the Charlos, but to say "slow down the hype train" when the guy is a belt away from being undisputed is just dumb. Sorry.

But you can't say he should have lost to Castano, and then not allow someone else to give their opinion on another close fight he had - with Hurd. I saw him beat Hurd. So for example if Jermell and Lara fight, and I see Lara win every round, but Charlo's family is scoring the fight, he may win. But that doesn't mean that I think he won or that I will change my opinion.

I like the Charlos a lot as boxers actually. What posts are you referring to? I feel like a lot of you guys are getting paid or something to hype them up after the card last night. That's the only logical explanation I can come up with lol.

They are both good fighters and factors against anyone at their weight levels or around them.

As I said, Jermell took 22 rounds to stop Tony Harrison. He hits hard and has an aggressive explosive style. He also struggles to win rounds vs anyone C level and above. Those are all pretty much objectively true man.

And belts lineal etc mean little. Who did you beat and how did you do it. He has had some good wins and performances at 154. He has also had some so-so performances and OK wins.

I think it's pretty obvious that the next guy he faces that can box a little bit and has some durability will beat him. Tony Harrison did, no disrespect to him. But when you are a one trick pony then eventually that trick doesn't pan out. He struggles to win rounds boxing-wise and if you aren't seeing that idk what you're watching.

The next guy he faces that is durable and can box even a little will beat him. I would bet on it. At 154 the only guy who currently probably fits that bill is Lara. Maybe there are others, idk.

They absolutely did. Now, it's Andrade's turn.
