If THURMAN had stayed with Golden Boy, would have had a better career?

I can't remember all the context and who was with who at the time as a lot of pieces moved around after the Haymon/GBP/Shaeffer thing, so forgive me...or what promoter was working with what promoter. Was GBP working with TR at the time? Before everyone got shuffled around, there might have been a period where there could have still b een some fights to make with Khan, Brook, Pac, Victor Ortiz, Berto, Crawford, Bradley. Maidana potentially.
Still good fights for him - but I doubt the promoter would matter if there is a change in mentality and physical deterioration . He got great exposure on PBC though, he was the first fighter showcased IIRCLast edited by LA_2_Vegas; 09-25-2020, 08:37 PM.Comment

Seriously? Thurman has had as good a career as a boxer can ask for.
He didn’t transcend to superstardom for reasons entirely due to him (injuries, out of ring too long, stopped KOing guys once he upped his level of competition), but he’s made loads of money and had a reign that he’s clearly satisfied with. After he got married it wasn’t even clear he still wanted to fight at all, let alone had the drive to be the next Mayweather/PAC/DLH. He always had a reputation as an odd dude compared to other boxers and he clearly is marching to the beat of his own drum.Comment
