The WBC ordered both boxer to fight for the vacant super middleweight world title. The belt became vacant when David Benavidez failed to make weight for his last defense against Roamer Angulo. Because Benavidez stopped Angulo in the fight, the title remained vacant.

At first I wasn’t even up for this
fight nor did I think it was legit. This is just the WBC imposing a Franchise benefit otherwise GBP wouldn’t even know the opportunity would exist. Why wouldn’t Canelo acknowledge the offer by the WBC if it was presented to them? Of course they wouldn’t mind getting the shot for the vacant belt.

Therefore seeing how posters were crying that Smith’s Diamond belt was more deserving means Canelo haters don’t like that Smith doesn’t get dibs, not so much the Turk as the opponent.

However the Turk’s manager is hoping. Lol. Therefore it’s about the Canelo’s situation with a broadcaster. In other words this fight isn’t legit nor real until Canelo has the green light to fight. Again, just the WBC clout chasing Canelo’s name.

Of course he wants the golden ticket they all do... except some say they do then price themselves out... real ones know the money comes AFTER beating the champ not before... and I don’t care who canelo fights Im a fan so I just want to see the man in the ring... it would mean a family get together with beer food and music... all supporting the Mexican.
