Not for lack of talent but because his trainer is useless and his promoter has put him on a bum of the month career tour.

Get a good trainer and get some development fights. Stop wasting away your career.

There's a lot of talent in the UK @ 175Lb right now. With names such as Callum Johnson, Hosea Burton, Shakan Pitters, Craig Richards, Lyndon Arthur & Joshua Buatsi Yarde needs to prove himself domestically before chasing alphabet ****les.

Yarde still has much to prove. Just like Dubois is paying his dues by taking on Joyce, so does Yarde need to beat a respectable European/British opponent.

He has improved slightly, but not enough to take on the some of the best fighters @ 175, but destroyers and guys with hundreds of amateur fights.

Buatsi would be a great domestic match up, but too much risk for little reward for both. Arthur, Pitters, Burton could be exciting match- ups.

It always depends on whether a fighter simply wants to get to the world titles via the softer route, or the harder route.

Of course the caveat is that it is not always entirely up to a fighter.

He ought to stay busy after that win, he'll most likely avoid Beterbiev and Bivol, and take his chances against Joe Smith Jr for the vacant WBO title - Smith's unpredictable, but defintely becoming shop-worn.

Everything you said is 100% true. I also get the sense that Yarde isn't even as ambitious as he was before the Kovalev fight.

His mannerisms and his overall demeanor is like that of someone who has given up on reaching the top level.
