  • Comments Thread For: Jaron Ennis: I Might Have To Get Into A Mandatory Position To Get A Title Shot

Had he taken a more patient approach when he battled Bakhtiyar Eyubov, Jaron Ennis thinks he could've scored a second-round knockout. Ennis eventually stopped Eyubov in the fourth round, but the gifted Philadelphia welterweight learned to remain calm from his last performance January 10 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The 23-year-old Ennis plans to apply what he learned versus Eyubov when he faces Juan Carlos Abreu in a 10-round fight Saturday night and beyond.

After this fight if he wins he has to face fighters like Ramos, Dulorme, Josesito Lopez, Figueroa Jr, Lipenet, Hooker, etc so he can get more into the public eye prove himself with more established fighters.

He looks like the real thing but he has to fight proven durable fighters.

He has to work his way up the ranks like everybody else? He won't get a title shot just because he's Jaron Ennis?

Can someone tell me what the hype is about this Ennis guy? Although I've seen him a few times before, I really haven't noticed anything special. The last time I saw him I remember leaving not too impressed.

Can someone help? What am I missing?

Some of the guys you named won't do a think for his ranking within the division.

The upside, potential, & what he's displayed thus far of what he could be in a few years.

Thanks. I'll watch for that potential. I know he's fighting tonight.

of course you have to get into a mandatory position. you offer no money, no name, no new market. why would any champion fight you now? i am just being realistic.
