Damn! This Pandemic ruined everything but hopefully smaller promoters and fighters who are not with the major promoters can hold on and make it through these tough times for everybody. Even though fans and boxing Writers/Reports loved to bash certain promoters about low attendance...even low attendance was still extra money for these Promoters and Fighters
So once things get better God Willing...people will appreciate their "Small Attendance" even More now!
Fans need to lower expectations too during this time, fans still calling for these Big Fights to be made during this Pandemic and with no Crowd which is just beyond ridiculous and some fans want all of these fights for FREE
I mean attendence is everything when you don't got a TV deal so til things are 100% back to normal how do they do business at all? And how do you keep your best talent with you when you can't give them fights? So if I was a big time promoter I'd be trying to poach some promising guys who are poachable & need to fight.
Randomly are any small promoters getting creative with some sorta zoom boxing with ads or something to make up the difference in loss of physical attendance? I'd assume someone is thinking outside the box or will be when boxing opens up a lil more since I'm not sure boxing is back in every state/country yet.Comment

This is far too simplistic a way to look at things. Idk why so many cats here bring things down to "scared" or "don't wanna lose their 0" type sh^t.
In a pandemic like this I don't blame anyone for not fighting cuz their are so many variables in play.
First off this is still a dangerous sport & if you've spent the last decade getting yourself to $100k or $2M a fight you don't wanna suddenly start taking $50k or $1M for the same caliber fights. Boxing is dangerous & if you lose it still drastically hurts your income or could even get your deal nullified.
Not to mention all this covid19 sh^t likely beings more expenses on boxers too. Gotta test mfers in camp, gotta keep mfers apart better & you are taking a risk to get your fight canceled by sparring I'd imagine. Sh^t isn't like normal for the whole process including the boxers side of it.
So I can't fault boxers for using leverage now the same as promoters & networks use leverage. This is ultimately a business more than a sport especially in the last 20, 30 years or so. I wish boxing was more of a sport but the boxers didn't create the way boxing works today but they gotta try to maximize their bottom line in it the same as everyone else.Comment

I feel like small promoters are gonna be weeded out or made even less powerful then they already are like small businesses are now.
