What really happened with Loma and "SALIDOOOOOEEEE"?

Sure, Loma never complained about the low blows and Lawrence Cole was constantly out of position to see them (credit to Siri for that ring IQ).

But Loma barely fought that night. He wasn't really trying. Yes, he was newish as a pro, but still. He had to know he was in for a rough night. It's not like Salido's tactics were a mystery.

    So...what really happened?

I think 'Do bashed his b a l l s and roughed him up and Loma wasn't sure what to do. It was a brutal intro to the pros. Loma wouldn't stand for that s h i t for a second now but you live and learn. Plus, 'Do's style would have been problems anyway. For a boxer and mover like Loma, your best bet is to corner him and go to the body which 'Do did fairly well although Loma definitely had him hurt in the last round. It was a good learning experience for Loma and he never whined about it. Took the L and learned and has come back immensely stronger. Guys used to do this in the old days when they were matched hard early on. It made them much better.

Salido was pressuring him and fighting dirty as well. Loma*****o should have hit him back once or twice in the balls. Don't complain, get even

Loma was fresh to the pro fouls. Lawrence Cole was the wrong ref for Loma to win that night anyhow. He needed Harvey Dock, Jack Reiss, or Weeks that would step in and handle all the bullschitt that happened during that fight
