Comments Thread For: Rosario: Charlo Definitely Stronger Than Williams; Preparing Differently For This Fight

Jeison Rosario refrained from committing to whether he thinks Jermell Charlo is a better fighter than Julian Williams. The IBF/WBA 154-pound champion considers Charlo and Williams elite-level junior middleweights, each with strengths that make preparing for them complex tasks. Rosario overwhelmed Williams and upset the former champion by fifth-round technical knockout January 18 in Philadelphia, Williams' hometown.

Charlos are already 30; hopefully this fight, and his brothers against Derev, will mark the start of them taking bigger challenges.

One moved up in division to take on bigger tougher opponents. The other is working at clearing the pack. What bigger chance can they take? I think they are both working well towards their goals. I am not going to say they both will make it but they have what it takes and seem to have the drive. Now if only they could do something about their fans but this is pro sports after all..........

Jeison Rosario, when Mell caves your chin in, you will crumble like you did with Nathaniel Gallimore. #firingsquad #ironman #chincheckers

JRock & Charlo are roughly the same height with the same reach with almost the same stoppage percentage. I give Rosario a good shot in this fight. He ruined my night though. I took my teenage son to watch his 1st fight ever in person and Rosario stopped JRock, LOL!

If Charlo stand any chance of defeating banana, then he is going to have to collapse the pocket and fight Rosario at short range to back him up.

If he can't do that it's going to be a long night for him because Jeison Rosario is going to walk him down all night until he catches him and possibly stop him.

jermall has been at 160 for about 4 years now and he's facing his first top 10 opponent. good for him but thats a pretty slow pace, his opponents have been far weaker since moving up so that doesnt make too much sense.he also turned down a dazn offer where canelo and ggg are and a canelo fight. that's a very slow drive. like a 5 mph drive

J-Rock is smaller than Errol Spence if you look at any pic they've had together. I've seen him listed as small as 5'9. Rosario and charlo are pretty close in size so I don't believe size will play a part in this fight.
