You're a moron if you think it was just a jab that KO'd Yarde. Did you actually watch the fight? Yarde "emptied the tank" when he stunned Kovalev out of inexperience and never recovered. He clearly gassed out. On top of that, he went from British level to world level and did pretty damn good considering.
People are always trashing Yarde but his last opponent, Dec Spelman, was better than Buatsi's next opponent. Both are being matched carefully, Yarde since he stepped out of his league of experience and level against Kovalev, and Buatsi since he turned pro.
I think Buatsi has shown a lot of potential but definitely has to step up the competition next time out.

I don't like to write off a fighter because "I have never heard of him before" but the guy hasn't fought anyone of note. His opponents have a 117 losing record to 106 winning record.

That for me is a red flag, he might turn out to be a good fighter who is waiting for a chance like this, and he should be up for the fight because beating a hype up fighter from the west is always good for your resume, but the fact that his level of previous opponents are that bad, i just don#t have much hope here.

In all likelihood he will end up like Khongsong. He's a totally untested undefeated fighter who shouldn't give Buatsi any problems but who knows. I've seen stranger things happen in the boxing game.

Beating someone in the amateurs doesn't really mean much unless you can duplicate that success in the pro ranks. There are lots of boxers who beat current title holders and hot prospects in the amateurs but could not replicate it in the pro ranks. Every half sensible boxing fan knows that. Amateur wins do not automatically equal pro wins.
