I wonder if Boliodogs’ vote justifies why he always follows my Canelo threads

      - -Most all time rankings, ie IBRO have Field below Mike.

Not hard for me to say it is Holifield. Not going to knock GGG as he is a fantastic middleweight but not one of the best middleweights when you look at the champs down through the years. Holifield in his prime gives any Heavyweight champ in history a great fight, win or lose.

The bold is uncalled for. A person would get banned for using it the other way around.

Holy hit some high achievement s. He had an aura of invincibility he was on the fresh Prince, the real deal! Tyson was at a loss for words he said man I just want to shake your hand for heating me. Coming from the badest man on the planet. He also had some commercial success. He did a photo shoot with Heidi Klum naked and he was on dancing with the stars however he was off the juice while dancing lol. Big ass cruiserweight with tapdancing shoes lol.

Holyfield had higher highs and lower lows. 2 division 'star' compared to GGG's one. Similar amateur pedigrees. Holyfield a top 2 all-time guy in an 'other division.' (CW) GGG a top 5 all-time guy in a premier (MW) division.

Temptation is to say that it's Holyfield easily because of his highs at HW, but his lows make it a tough contest in actuality. GGG haters will no doubt froth at the mouth over the comparison though.

I like GGG and he's accomplished a good deal but Holyfield takes this one pretty easily. Way more accomplished.

However, GGG technically lost his biggest fight.

I wouldn’t argue against someone saying GGG is a better MW in the grand scheme of MW than Holyfield was a HW...but then you can’t ignore CW...or the roids for that matter.

This is almost a trolly thread that upon further review is actually not that cut and dry imo when you take the fame and sheer spectacle of HW for those couple years.

P4p GGG may very well be the better fighter...but p4p isnt a thing at HW and that’s what made Evander Evander. He didnt NEED to be the same size. What a weird thing the more you think about it and try to remove the bias we tend to have for Holyfield
I lean towards Holyfield if for no other reason than the 2 Tyson fights. Was that the best Tyson he faced? Probably not. But I think Tyson was still plenty good enough. And to beat him twice really was exceptional.

I would be mad at Evander for all of his headbutting in general and hold that against him in the comparison, but honestly I loved his boxing ability too. So athletic and fluid, so I give him a pass on the little bit of dark arts he employed.
