Why so many good boxers from Yemen in the UK?

Before you there are not that many. There is only 70000-80000 people of Yemeni descent in the UK. Which is a tiny number. There are over 50 million people in the UK. Also the ratio of Yemeni boxers that are proffesional per capita is tiny and compared to other demographics. Yet 3 world Champions.

Naseem Hamed- HOF’er and arguably the most talented fighter ever from the UK.

Kal Yafai- Was Britain's longest-reigning world champion.

Kid Galahad- The real IBF featherweight champion. Was robbed against Josh Warrington. Great fighter. Elite at Featherweight

+ Kal Yafai two other brothers. One is going to represent the UK in the olympics.

Being from the USA. I wonder why there have been no notable Yemeni-American boxer? I mean our Yemeni community is much larger.

      - -UK has a thriving AMA and pro scene for boxers.

US something of a dead zone unless they're Mexican or Eastern Euro.

Anything anyone says these days can be seen as racist by the microaggression crowd.

Yemenis are a tough bunch among the Arabs. Also, how many elite white fighters had the UK had? People of other races tend to excel more because of their life situations.

Why are you talking about elite white fighters? This about British-Yemeni fighters. The ratio between white brits and Yemenis are 70:1 Meaning that there are 70 white brits for 1 Yemeni. Agree thats why dont have any Indian champs from the UK because they are the richest ethnicity in the UK.

I mean there is more opportunity there to get into the sport and succeed as an immigrant than here. In the US, African Americans are overrepresented in boxing, so others don't tend to do as well, with some rare exceptions.

                Kell Brook has Yemen connections?

I have never been entirely sure, whether Brook has Yemen or Black African connections etc

Also Hispanic-Americans are also very well represented here. The UK is probably more open to other cultures.

No, I think his real dad is Jamaican and his mother is white English

His dad that’s often with him isn’t his real father but raised him since 1 yr old because his real dad disappeared
