I like this kat. Much of the dedication he has always staying in the ring, mentally strong, even after losing to Kovalev and losing his father and grand parent.

I like his confidence in the ring. I watched last night’s fight again. They were hyping Spelman like he was some tough warrior but then I thought what other husky pressure fighters could push Yarde. I though Joe Smith would be a good matchup.

Yarde’s confidence level and staying calm is what really makes him a top contender imo. He’s like big version of Andre Berto in style. Seen his workout videos and it amazes me fast this guy can shadow box looking like a weight lifter... Tunde says he doesn’t lift but I don’t buy that. lol.

That would be a nice match up, but right now I'd be picking Smith, dude might be relatively basic but he's matured greatly as a fighter over the last 5 years and his experience at the top level gives him the edge here I reckon.

Yarde , imo , wouldn’t stand a chance against Smith
He was very impressive in his win against Alvarez
Showed different dimensions to his game which I thought he didn’t have
As K said he has matured quite a bit in the ring

Yarde is barely a fringe contender level fighter. Smith jr. should beat him easily.

Smith would destroy him. The route they took him through has been disappointing. And fighting Kovalev after feasting on bums doesn’t impress me neither.

Sign me up for that match up. Really good tough guys in their primes. Yarde shows poise but he’s got some stamina issues. Smith is a beast with his pressure and his cardio seems to be great. Nice top rank match up.

Yarde has no chance against smith, smith would bully then knock him out. The only reason he had any form of success against kovalev is cause kovalev is old and shot and was still knocked out by a jab. Yarde isnt the best lhw in england even, buatsi is looking more polished
