It's not that Loma can't fight backwards but that is definitely his weakness. He is not as effective when he goes backwards. In the few fights he was pushed back he wasn't as comfortable. He just goes in a shell mode where he moves and covers up. So he is less of a counter puncher when on his back foot. When he is coming at you any shot you throw at him could be countered.
