Got into a EXTREMELY heated argument over Leonard and Pacquiao

I don't even know what to say right now....

Only reason I decided to ask this question was the poll on this site is close. I mean real mother fkkin close.

So I'm on the porch last night a 3 in morning as usual sippin on a 40 and eating a bucket of KFC and there's 11 other homies just chilling and talking about bad bytches and shyt when I brought up who is the greater fighter between Sugar Ray Leonard and Manny Pacquiao.

And that's when all hell broke loose.....

Just like the poll on here, half of them were in disagreement. It went on for damn near an entire hour.

Half of the homies were saying that Leonard is better because he's fought the better competition.

Yet the other half were saying that Pacquiao climbed 8 divisions and beat fighters that he was not supposed to beat because he was too small.

It went back and forth to the point where even one of the Pacquiao fans got super animated trying to explain to the Leonard fans that Pacquiao accomplished more than Leonard did.

The other homie arguing with him saying that the only reason that Pacquiao is still fighting today is because he did not fight the caliber of opponents that Leonard did and if he had, he would not be fighting today.

All of the arguing got to the point where I honestly thought punches were going to get thrown because that's how heated this argument ended up being.

So while I'm laid out in my chair sippin on my 40 listening to all of the arguing, I'm just thinking to myself damn......

If the question who had the better career, then I’d say pac. He’s won way more titles, started pro younger and is fighting well into his 40s for titles. If you asked who was the better welterweight or who would win between them I’d say Leonard. Bigger, more skilled and fought better competition.

They are both great and all times theres probably only about 10 boxers between them. Pacs around top 5 and SRL is top 15.
Its what Pacs been able to do over a whole 23 years, whilst SRL had 4 good opponents. Its possible the 4 opponents at the day they fougtht SRL had a bad night or they were overated and not deserving of their reputation. But you cant fight people who had off nights for 23 years.
If your doing crazy **** for 23 years its more than likely your really good. Over 4 fights like SRL it can be down to luck.

Leonard could have done so much more if he didn't have to retire because of his eye.

You worry too much about what thinks about boxers. Study their records, watch film of them fighting and decide for yourself who is better. Having 12 people crowded together on a porch in today's situation is nuts. There is a very easy to catch and potentially deadly virus going around that kills hundreds of Americans every day and your drinking parties are helping to spread it around. A person can seem healthy but still be a carrier of the virus and give it to an old person who will then quite possibly die. Before the virus porch parties with the homies were fine and harmed nobody. Those days are gone unless we get an immune shot and a cure. It's a free country and you can do as you please. Please think about what you are doing and quit doing it.
