ESPN Trying to make Crawford Mean Machine rematch?

Kavaliauskas is higher ranked in the WBC than the WBO. He didn’t mention any other opponents when asked about another title shot. They only focus on Crawford stating “he doesn’t have another opponent.” Smh

It's because they can sell a rematch easier than they can sell a Spence fight.

He's not wrong in that Crawford isn't fighting anyone - so he's available, so that's not a excuse. Spence is legit fighting Danny Swift and possibly Porter after that.

I also think - and this is just me - that Kavaliauskas is trying to further back Arum and Crawford into a corner by saying "look, you ain't fighting anybody, you're free, I did better against you than anyone else (fact), I'll accept whatever payday, we can sell it, let's do it if you're not going to face your mandatory (Porter) and you're not going to face Thurman or Russell who called you out, because you ain't getting Spence anytime soon, either."

      So now we have

      - Kavaliauskas
      - Gary Russell Jr.
      - Shawn Porter (Mandatory)
      - Keef Thurman

Who all want the fight. Of that list, only Gary Russell is an easy payday.

He was behind on points to an unknown nobody and did nothing to earn a rematch. But with the cherry pick easy guys Crawford has been defending his title against maybe he will get a rematch anyway. He is probably better than today's Brook and much better than Khan..

If guys were fighting 4x a year I wouldnt care but Bud already knocked him out and hasnt fought since December that year, so basically going a year in his mid 30s with no fight. It sure as *** not be the same guy again when he hasnt fought any of the haymond stable. I dont care that arum and haymond dont like each other, go figure it out so you can make a real fight already. crawford wasted his career, he beat Postol and an undersized Gamboa whoop de ***ing do.

Just keep him busy so the WBC is forced to put him in a future mandatory

The fight was neither controversial nor was there a rematch clause nor was it some big upset where the A side wanted redemption. Same outcome, no point. Let him work his way to a different champion to fight.
