your right, it's amazing how these guys keep contradicting themselves and then come up with an arguement.

sergei lyakovich vs. lamon brewster was on PPV and everyone cried about it. all the people who acted like *******s didnt see a great fight and then downloaded it two days later if they were lucky, then turned around and pretended they watched it as it happened.

i dont need "names" for me to lay down my money

        i need a "fight"

and baldo is willing to do it, he is rugged and determined and physically bigger than floyd. i for one will pay to see it and expect to see a good fight.

you think i want to pay 50 bucks to watch corey spinks dance around for 8 rounds, get tired, and get pummeled into submission while kevin cunningham tries to steal the show calling him a piece of ****? nah not really.

Yeah, that's what they said when when the fight between PBF and Gatti was made.

I have to give it up to Bob Arum, he has done a very good job of promoting Margarito, seeing the opinion of some of the fans around here. Lets be real the last two fighters that Tata beat were better than any fighter that Margarito has yet to face. There are plenty of fights out there for him to take, but yet he hasn't taken one yet, and will probably be fighting another tomato can later this year. Again, I have said before that I think Tony could be Mayweather's Antonio Tarver, Jake LaMotta, Ken Norton, etc because of his size and style. However, that doesn't change the fact that Baldi deserves this fight more than he does.

As for Floyd, I think he is the new Roy Jones, fans are fustrated because they want to see him face someone as good as him( I wonder if Sugar Ray Robinson had the same problem when he was 40-0), the problem is that there isn't anyone that is as talented as him out there. I think Baldomir is the most deserving and best fight available at the moment.

first off, the fight was on showtime, not HBO.

so please dont bother correcting people if you dont know any better yourself, at the very least i know which channel i was watching.

and i dont have showtime, so to watch it, as i did, i would have had to buy it.

maybe it wasnt PPV and i had the benefit of some kind of free promotional showtime package i didnt know about... but im almost sure i paid 25 bucks for it....

since you said it was HBO i know you didnt watch the fight live, youre just like all the other people i spoke about earlier who missed it when it was on and then turned around and pretended they did.

can anyone verify for sure whether or not it was PPV?

it was on showtime and was during a free promotional weekend, soon after HBO had had Toney-Rahman on their free preview weekend. This fight made HBO's look like **** and gave a very good showing for showtime championship boxing.

With respect to floyd fighting Baldomir on PPV, i think its the second most entertaining fight he could have made and would take this over spinks every day of the week. I know i wont buy it but ill download it asap, whereas i prolly wouldnt have even bothered to download his 12 round domination/foot race with Spinks.

i almost never buy a PPV based on one fight. if there are two good undercards id pay 50 for floyd and baldy, so im hopin that will be the case.

spinks and mayweathers ring walks would probably last longer than the fight would IMO, spinks would not make it through the 8th, he has much too suspect of chin to take any type of continued beating.
